I have a 2024 b2601 with R14 tires. I need advice on rear tire psi. Specifically for snow removal using FEL and mowing with 60 inch mmm. My tires are 6 ply R14s while older b2601 tractors with R14s used only 4ply with lower psi ratings.

I just plowed my 250 foot driveway with 24 inches of snow and it worked well with 500 lb rear ballast box with 25 psi in rear tires and 32 in front but spun tires on occasion in 4wd low. The snow was very deep, 2 feet and heavy.

Operators Manual , see picture, calls for 40 psi rear. I agree with close to max 34 psi on fronts using the loader but Rear psi seems excessive.

What Rear PSI do you recommend for snow removal?

What front and rear PSI do you recommend for mowing with 60 inch mid mount mower?

Thanks for any advice on this , especially if you have the same b2601/b2301 with R14s

I dont know about the R14 tires but the R4s are suppose to be 40 psi but thats way to hard, I run mine at 25psi more or less and my 60 inch deck has no clearance problems. And you will spin tires in loose snow no matter what the PSI is

FWIW.... on my L3301 I run 1/2 the max. tire pressure as quoted on the tires for snow removal. I do get better traction but that being said I don't use my loader much for lifting heavy snow as our snow tends to be dry and limit spinning tires fast and the 800# weight of the snow blower spends most of the time on the ground so weight not really bearing on the tires all the time. When moving with snow blower (rear) up I realize I am at 1/2 tire pressure with 800# lifted so I make sure I am kind and keep speed low to avoid jarring tires on bumps that can cause huge spikes in felt weight.

I your case I would half the recommended MAX tire pressure. Can't give you a number as I do not know from your chart if that chart is recommended tire pressures or max tire pressures. Probably should go to the tire and read the sidewall for that.

Your ballast on back is fantastic but doesn't seem excessive.

On the front seems you have a regular bucket (not the larger snow bucket) and normally snow is considered a light material (unless of course it is melting and full of water which can't be guessed at from the pictures) so probably not running the max. lift capacity on front end.

So I would think half to 2/3 max. pressure as marked on side of tire should be OK. Just keep in mind you have the lower pressures so if moving about with max. loads on the front be kind. If pushing very aggressively into a static pile be kind, etc... so not to spin a tire off a rim.
