Hey. New to this and just got a snow pusher (48") for my BX1880. I have a weight box on the back with 300lbs in it. Wondering what the right tire pressure is. I have the turf tires for now, but I have a flat driveway. Thoughts?

Not trying to be an ass. Just wondered if the snow pusher makes a difference.
I agree.

Although the pusher weighs about 60 lbs. more than the stock bucket (~190 vs. 130) you are not "lifting" a full load with a pusher. The manual states max psi when using a loader with a bucket to account for lifting and/or transporting a fully loaded bucket. That said you can't go wrong at max psi but I wouldn't loose sleep over a couple psi deviation.

I put about 500# in my weight box for plowing snow to get better traction. I also plowed with turf tires in the past and this year changed to bar tires. Still not sure if the bar tires are any better than the turfs. As they say in the courtroom, the jury is still out on making a decision.

Got about a foot. Happy to say the snow pusher performed pretty well. No steering when the pusher is down, but I guess that makes sense. Took some getting used to, but didn't get stuck and it was fun to use!

Same here.
I have chains on all 4 turf tires, helps a lot but still loose steering if I'm pushing a full load of snow with either the bucket or plow. I find if I lift the bucket or plow about an inch it really helps regain some control on my frozen gravel driveway. Not sure if chains would dig up your pavement, maybe some rubber ones or other alternative would be better.

Glad the pusher is working out for you...but...I hope it's the last time this year you'll need it. Had enough of the white stuff and I'm ready for "mud" season. ;)

using floatmode will help with front steering
Nope - BTDT
I use float 90% of the time, still loose steering pushing full loads. BX1880 is a fairly light tractor overall. Doesn't take much to "lift" the front just enough to affect steering. Lifting the bucket or plow just a bit seems to transfer the weight back onto the front wheels. At least in my case.

I doubt the weight of the snow pusher will make a big difference. I'd do a visual check by lowering the snow pusher to the ground to take the wight off the tires and see how they look, lift the snow pusher and take another look. If the tires are looking flat add air. I'd be sure to run close to the max tire pressure if you are using the loader for gravel or fill. I kept my pressure low for mowing, and did some gravel work without increasing the pressure and cracked the side wall of my turf tire which failed shortly thereafter. I'm more careful now about airing up when using the loader.
