Hi.

Have problems with main lights not working

I bought it BX2200, year 2004 with original Mauser cabin on it last oktober, during winter dissassemble, sand it all and colour everything.

Now i am assembling it together but somehow i made shortcut on battery and now can not get lights and electricity in cabin to work. Turn signal works, position lights on separate button also, stop lights to. Bulbs and fuses are ok - check them and change them all.

i am deciding between switch for lights, main key switch or electronic black box (i think is called flasher unit) under dashboard.

I clean all the contact on ignition switch, light switch and box, check them all but nothing suspicious on sight. I do not know how to test them if they work. The electricity is on the top of cabin where all the electricity is but nothing works.

Would appreciate any help if somebody had same problem or idea how to solve it.

Well if you don't have a multi-meter, now's the time to get one and let us teach you how to use it. Seriously, the best of troubleshooters are in the dark without a meter.

I have one but never use it
Many others have meters collecting dust and I understand. At first it can be intimidating but once you get the hang of it, you will never be without it. Pitch in members and let's help get this problem worked out.
The only mistake you can make is having meter set to ohms/resistance and touching probes to voltage. Correct me if this isn't true, tractor cranks, starts and runs normal. Set meter to 12v dc or lowest volt above 12. Touch one probe to + battery post and other to - post. You should see 12 to 12.9 volts. At fuse box you will notice one wire is larger than others, this wire brings 12 volts to box where various fuses sent 12 v to various devices, Put a meter probe on large wire and other probe on metal surface or - battery post. If you don't see 12v, follow wire back to a point where it does show 12v. Between that point and fuse box is a blown inline fuse OR burned out fusible link. Once you are seeing 12v at fuse box we can test between fuses and lights.
