Anything put into the sump would have to go through the strainer, the hyd. pump, the priority valve, the steering controller, the filter and then into the HST to the charge relief.

One question. Does the filter blow out when just starting and idling the machine. or when you increase engine speed or when you move the machine and if that which direction?

Possibly swap the wheels left for right. Although extending the wheels on the front axle does put added stress on the axle and steering components.

I have one of the Harbor Freight/Holt oil evacuators and it works well enough for what I use it for. There are better built ones but as long as you treat it well it holds up

Takeuchi uses Diagmaster, it is just licensed to their dealers and to engines produced for them. Your best bet is to load it on a trailer and take it to your local dealer.

Also get the stamped sn off the LF side of the block where @whitetiger indicated to get the correct engine sn. That is as long as no one has messed around and swapped things.

Do the pins of the dog clutch slide in and put of their respective holes without binding? IF so you probably don't need to dress the pins but you could clean them up with a strip of emery paper. You should be able to slip that around each individua pin and clean them up. I am pretty certain...
