    voltage regulator

you need a dental pick or similar tool to push up the retainer on the wire side, then pull the connector out. Helps if you have 3 hands......

you can do that with a UPS and it'll run for HOURS

    L3901 - tiller options - the sequel

Looks pretty heavy duty and already is offset. Considering you're just 'scuffing' the soil and not 'tilling full depth', I'd expect you'll be able to pass it down 1-2 generations. I've got 15+ years on my 5' Italian tiller and its in great shape, even after chewing up 1 acre of 40 year old...

Any Easy Way to Determine Hydraulic Fluid

FWIW... I have a similar 'toy splitter' , I use to make kindling from scrap 2by4s. Maybe use it 2-3 times a year. great tool, fun and quiet. Got a deal on prebent 5/8" rebar, something like 250-270 pieces( 5' long with 90* bend in middle ). made a 'jig' and used the splitter to 'unbend' the...

    A truck and trailer thread.

All my CJ-5s had manual hubs, so no big deal.. but the Willys Pickup was a true off frame restoration and the hubs were nice 'oddity', just like the Ramsey dual PTO and the WARN OD unit. Had the hubs been properly maintained, they'd still be fine today. Have no problem getting fingers dirty, I...

L35 temp and fuel gauges not working

I googled '7 volt regulators' and this... https://murrayscarbs.com/product/7-volt-regulator/?srsltid=AfmBOorjRV2oDVooqmfHyaXQ2EADYjCuf2EEnS-xP_VfTAlxMR9-7V4b ..popped up ! For $20 it might be a good gamble... EASY to install. I don't know what it powers but should handle the 2 gauges. There...

    M8540 blower resistor alternatives

yes, Digikey was my #1 supplier, 4 decades ago. I could order by 8PM tonight, and get the parts just after lunch tomorrow ! back then $8 for shipping + 'boarder crossing nonsense'. If I ordered same parts from 40 miles away, it's be a 3 day wait and $20 delivery fee, crazy as Thief Falls is...

L35 temp and fuel gauges not working

old skool...real gauges, they are slow to respond. the reason for the voltage regulator is to give a better 'response', more accurate reading. if it is kaput, you can replace with a LM317 voltage regulator, 240r resistor and a 1100r resistor.

Looks like a clean tire puncture

should be able to drive it 'close to road' or 'barn'. then remove and take to town. it'll be a lot cheaper than an onsite service call.

L35 temp and fuel gauges not working

easy to test... you can use a 6 volt battery or even a 9 volt to test the temp gauge--sensor--gnd. also use 12volts if you 'pulse' it ( on/off) say at 1 pulse per second mechanical gauges are 'tough' so usually no damage if you briefly ground the 'sensor' connection ,gauge will read 'full or...

L35 temp and fuel gauges not working

well the only way to prevent that would be to have a separate +7V regulator for the temp gauge. maybe take the fuel gauge off the PCB and see what's underneath it on the front side ? if you need to , you could buy a voltage regulator chip to replace the one inside the fuel gauge.

    Really smart guys

Well the gals on the counter at the local dealership notice so hard to believe 'head office' doesn't know ! heck it's in THEIR books BTW computers keep track of everything, unlike 50 years ago when we did it all using paper and pencils ,every 1/4, 6,000 items. I might just pose the question to...

L35 temp and fuel gauges not working

It's internal within the 'fuel gauge'. The 'gauge' (meter) only needs 2 connections, source of power and sender. Your 'gauge' has 4 connections +12 input, ground, sensor( marked F.U) and 7V output...to temp gauge). If you measure between ground and '7V' you should get 7 volts. sure is a nice...

BX2200 main lights not working after shortcut

hmm, do you have the wiring diagram for the cab ? Otherwise it'll be a real 'challenge'.

I sent the lock-o-matic hubs to Warn to fix(Lifetime WARNtee), they couldn't, so sent them back WITH a brand new 'manual' set of hubs.
