What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Set a couple old cedar fence posts at the ends of a row of stones set out to define the field edge at the corner nearest our private road. The bucket on the L filled in for the wheelbarrow I don’t have. Not sure what blocked out trauma may be at the root of my hatred for wheelbarrows, but I’ve...

Good luck with the hand surgery.

    Jerky 3-point hitch operation

Is the movement of the control lever (the one in your hand) jerky or is the lift jerky as you smoothly move the control lever?

Is that you, "Bolt Face" ??????

Over the past few years I’ve saved a ton of hours by downloading the app for every hardware, home improvement, auto parts, and some other stores in my area. Home Depot, Lowe’s, Grainger, NAPA, Autozone, Ace, TSC, Walmart, etc. Particularly for stuff that may or may not be in stock, the apps will...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Did several little things but no pics. A few days ago, noticed about 6oz hydraulic fluid on the floor directly under the rattle vent on the bell housing. Not great, but I’d been swapping stuff on both front and rear remotes earlier and moving the tractor around while doing that. The Pioneer...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Very neat and clean. If it weren't for the mud on the tires it would look like you don’t use it. I wonder how many routinely keep the cover on the PTO shaft when not in use. I do, but you’re the only other I’ve seen with the cover on a tractor that has more than a few hours on it.

I guess I am a wealthy man, since that Nigerian prince never called,,,,, again

When he asks for money, I’d file a complaint with the bar association of Madrid, Spain (https://web.icam.es/en/the-public/complaint-procedures/). Since he’s an attorney there, I’m sure they’ll straighten him out. 🙄

Hardee rotary cutters / offset RCs

There’s a fair amount of Hardee products in this area. They have a reputation for producing high quality implements. Only direct experience I have with them was using one of their box blades on one of my then employer’s tractors to grade a few gravel parking lots and driveways probably 20...

    2025 L3302 Regen

I don’t have a L3302. Looked at the instructions in the OM to confirm it works same as my L4701. Per the L3302 OM, they work the same. A bit over 600 hours, I’ve never done anything other than auto regens. I have never touched the DPF Inhibit switch. Unless the DPF Inhibit switch is lit, which...

    Occasional trailer-use risks (forgetfulness)

I’ve trapped the rear blocking on my equipment trailer enough times I now include a bottle jack in standard rigging for my equipment trailer. A little nudge from the jack is a lot quicker than unloading and reloading.

flail mower or rotory brush cutter

Now I’m curious about max height for a flail. I have to cut our meadow areas where we want native forbs at 8” once a year in the winter, which keeps saplings at bay but allows native pollinators to out compete grasses. 8” is as high as my bush hog cuts, but is also minimum for our forbs. The...

flail mower or rotory brush cutter

I have a rotary brush cutter (bush hog). Don’t have a flail. Either should work so long as the brush doesn’t exceed the size for which the cutter is rated. First obvious difference that comes to mind as you mentioned uneven terrain and creek crossings is the rotary cutter extends past the rear...

Help with working on a slope

So an agricultural type propane flamethrower / weed burner would kill it?

    Occasional trailer-use risks (forgetfulness)

Only time I recall having a stupid moment with loading or unloading was, of course, in front of a crowd. Was unloading in an asphalt parking lot at a church workday. About 50 guys were meeting with a couple of project leaders figuring out who brought what equipment and breaking up into teams for...
