    luckily last weekend we only got sleet and a little freezing rain,, this weekend they are calling for snow,, did a quick little fab and mounted a strip on the buckets edge, I think my neighbors will be surprised when I start clearing driveways,, one or two of them shouldn't be out shoveling..

    all the places to get food on campus are closed today so I cooked for our staff.. brats with kicked up kraut (garlic, bell pepper and onions) loaded up smashed potatoes (lots of butter and sour cream as nature intended)

    the big invite all thanksgiving lunch at work,, my part one 18lbs turkey with apple and cranberry stuffing,, 2 spiral cut hams with blackberry/honey/ginger/clove glaze.. (my morning started here at 5am)

    homemade Kraut is so much better!!!! did the Thursday cooking thing at work.. herb crusted chicken thighs roasted over a rice/stuffing mix (carrots and parsnips added) thighs were on sale in the 10 packs this morning!!!!

    I use bisquick all the time, 2 tricks to help it work better.. buttermilk instead of water,, mix up the batter a half hour before cooking, don't mix after that, just scoop gentley.. (works for dumplings also) another cooking hint, McCormick's Italian seasoning mix (Marjoram, Tyme, Rosemary...

    Thursday workers lunch, the universal one pan meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) kielbasa, onions, bell pepper, potatoes and apple.. simple but filling.. (a good thing to cook when camping) big pot was emptied!!!

    stabil in my emergency generator,, it sits waiting for a hurricane or ice-storm (carb dry) we had an outage that went over 12 hours last month, decided to start it up,, running great on the second pull,, took it off choke and was getting some power cords out when the garage lights came on...

    my old starret has detents and clicks into the position, my modern knock-off is just a firm friction fit and moves without any loosening of screws.. this protects the unit from going past its limits while in use..
