Hi, I have a bx23s and I'm going to be using a 60" UTV snow plow on it and I'm thinking of adding a hydraulic top link as an angle actuator. Has anyone done this? Any advice (including why I shouldn't)? Thanks! Jeff

I was greasing my BX23S backhoe and noticed that one of the o-rings had split and worked its way down the cylinder. I'm assuming that it's important or it wouldn't be there, so my question is whether that is something that I can replace myself or if I need to take it in to a dealer.

I just accidentally added somewhere between 4 and 8 oz of 15W40 instead of hydraulic fluid in my BX23S. Can I live with it or do I need to drain everything and start over from scratch?

Tom - that might have been why I didn't have trouble the first time I greased the tractor. My old grease gun had a "standard" fitting, the new one has a lock-n-lube fitting.

Update. I pulled the zerk and it looked fine to me (see picture). The hole in the pin also looked fine to me. I suspect that the previous owner somehow cross threaded the zerk. With a little bit of strong love I was able to screw the zerk back in centered :). All is good for now and I have...

I bought it used with about 45 hours on it. It has an extended warranty (through 7/2024), but i'd have to pay someone or rent a trailer to get it to the closest dealer about 30 miles from here.
