LX vs. Standard L - are FELs and 3 pt capacity that close?

My driveway is 2300’ but I still travel it in M. I only use H on the paved road. But lower HP tractors might need to use M on highway grades. Expecting more isn’t realistic for smaller machines.

LX vs. Standard L - are FELs and 3 pt capacity that close?

Agree. I don’t know why people complain about high range power. It’s only intended for road travel, not doing tractor work. L = loader M = mowing H = highway

    Finished my fueling station

Most of the available wood pallets are beat up and falling apart. And I figured that this was a one time expense.

I ordered the steel pallet from Home Depot. I’m sure there are other buying options.

Help with working on a slope

Are they the Arizona jumping cholla or the Great Plains staghorn cholla? I wouldn’t get near the jumping cholla: spray with herbicide and let them die. I have removed the Great Plains staghorn species by pushing them over with a loader bucket, then chopping the roots with a grubbing hoe and...

    Advice for novice

Oh I know, but they won’t sell a unit with only 17 hours on it with a bucket and grapple for $33K.

    Getting front end weight right

Scoop up a bucket load of dirt in your loader and don’t worry about it.

    Advice for novice

I can’t imagine a dealer selling a nearly new machine with grapple for less than $33k.

    Advice for novice

That would be a very good deal if it also includes a loader. But for what you’re describing, you should also consider a heavier machine such as a M or MX.

Help with working on a slope

Round up won’t work on cactus. Tordon is needed and you need an applicator’s license to buy in any state. Burning will also kill cholla.

Help with working on a slope

The wording says “unrestricted status.” This is the same as most states, including mine. Tordon is a restricted use chemical requiring an applicator’s license to purchase and use it. I described the process needed to get a license for buy and use Tordon on a person’s own property. I did this...
